Our Story
A Home for the Seeking Heart
Sacred Paths began as a small online gathering of people who felt the pull of the inner life but had nowhere to explore it together. That was 2019. Today we are a community of several thousand seekers across every tradition.
How We Began
Sacred Paths was founded by Seraphina Voss and Caelum Ashford — a contemplative teacher and a Hermetic scholar who met at a weekend retreat in the west of Ireland and discovered they shared the same frustration: the internet had made esoteric knowledge more accessible than ever, but it had also made it more fragmented, more commercial, and more shallow.
They wanted a place where someone could ask a genuine question about the Kybalion and receive a thoughtful answer. Where a beginner could sit alongside a thirty-year practitioner without feeling judged. Where the conversation could be slow, careful, and deep.
The first Sacred Paths forum had forty members. It was invitation-only, text-only, and deliberately unglamorous. People stayed because the conversations were unlike anything else they had found online.
We have grown since then — in numbers, in the breadth of traditions we explore, and in the events and resources we offer. But the founding intention has not changed: to be a place where the inner life is taken seriously.
What We Stand For
Depth over breadth
We would rather explore one idea slowly and carefully than skim across a hundred. The forum rewards patience and long-form thought.
Respect across traditions
We are not aligned with any single tradition. Members follow paths as varied as Hermeticism, Jungian psychology, earth-based spirituality, and contemplative Christianity. All are welcome.
Community over content
We are not a media company. The articles, events, and resources exist to support the community — not the other way around.
Honest inquiry
We hold our beliefs lightly. Dogma is welcome as a starting point for conversation, not as a conclusion. Scepticism and wonder are equally at home here.
Care for the seeker
The inner life can be disorienting. We take that seriously. Our community guidelines exist to make this a genuinely safe space for vulnerable exploration.
Quality over quantity
We grow slowly and deliberately. We would rather have a thousand engaged members than ten thousand passive ones.
